About my work

Working abstractly, my paintings are interactions in themselves rather than representations of interactions with the world. The canvas becomes a microcosm of life, working in multiple transparent and opaque layers, the work you see is only the final surface, beneath it lies an archaeology of decisions: moments of both sucsess and failure, struggles and triumphs that will never again be witnessed. Each layer like a phase in life, that interacts or covers previous layers, like our experiences in life change who we are and ultimately make us who we are.
